Our Story and Mission

Founded by Marisa Kalil-Barrino, Chulita Florals was created to build community through floral design. We're a Brooklyn-based floral studio that creates experiential concepts through whimsical, contemporary, unconventional, and modern bouquets and arrangements. We always ensure carefully-crafted and intentional designs inspired by the eccentricity of New York City and the people who keep it going.

Our mission at Chulita Florals is to translate bespoke flowers into stories and memories that will last a lifetime. Marisa’s journalism background, along with her ownership of 1202 MAGAZINE, helps her merge floral design with other artistic mediums, such as fashion, music, beauty, fine art, culture, and more.

We take pride in sourcing local and imported flowers ethically and sustainably from wholesalers and farmers. Chulita Florals emphasizes our continuous support for the immigrants and migrant workers who work day and night to plant, grow, cut, and prepare beautiful flowers that we use to create your floral designs.
